BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LAKE GROVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 175-1(A) Definitions of the Lake Grove Village Code is hereby amended to add
the following definition for “Common Ownership”.
“Common Ownership: Shall mean for purposes of this Chapter the ownership of two or
more adjoining parcels of real property where there is an identify of (common) ownership,
including beneficial or nominee ownership, of at least fifty percent (50%) of the ownership of the
properties.”
Severability. In the event that any portion of this Local Law # 7 of 2024 should be determined to
be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this Local Law of 2024 shall remain in
full force and effect.

Severability
The provisions of this Local Law are declared to be severable, and if any section, sentence,
clause or phrase of this article shall for any reason be held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, sentences, clauses and phrases of
this Local Law, but they shall remain in effect, it being the legislative intent that this Local Law
shall stand, notwithstanding the invalidity of any part.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lake Grove will hold a public hearing at the Lake Grove Village Hall, 980 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove, New York at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 regarding a Local Law of 2024 Amending Chapter 65 Building Construction and Chapter 175 Zoning of The Lake Grove Village Code. Hearing is being adjourned from August 15, 2024 to September 19, 2024.
