PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT THE VILLAGE OF LAKE GROVE IS SOLICITING SEALED
BIDS ONLY FOR THE DEMOLITION, DEBRIS REMOVAL AND GRADING OF THE STRUCTURE
AND PROPERTY 7 MORICHES ROAD, LAKE GROVE, with sealed bids only to be received at the Office of
the Village Clerk, Village Hall, 980 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove, New York 11755 until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday,
February 12, 2025 at which time and place the bids will be opened and read.

No bid will be considered unless it is delivered to the Village Hall in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the
face thereof with “7 Moriches Demolition 2025.”

Bidders may obtain a copy of the Bid Specifications at the Village Office (631-585-2000 ext.113), between
the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. except Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays on or after February 5, 2025.
Each proposal must contain the full name or names of the party or parties making the same, and of all persons
interested therein.

The Board of Trustees reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject all bids and reserves the right to
accept any part of or all of any bid. Subject to the foregoing, the Board will award the contract to the lowest
responsible bidder.

The Village of Lake Grove reserves the right to reject and declare invalid any and all bids in the best interest
of the Village.

  1. Pursuant to Section 1406 of New York State Real Property Tax Law, the assessment roll has

been completed by the Assessor and filed with the Village Clerk where it may be examined

by any person between 9:00 am and 4:30 p.m. until February 18, 2025 at the Village Hall, 980

BOARD OF TRUSTEES VILLAGE OF LAKE GROVE NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lake Grove,
Suffolk County, New York at a regularly scheduled meeting held on September 19, 2024 duly
adopted the following local law amending Chapter 175 Zoning of the Village of Lake Grove as

set forth below:

A LOCAL LAW AMENDING
SECTION 175-1(A) DEFINITIONS
OF THE LAKE GROVE VILLAGE CODE
REGARDING COMMON OWNERSHIP
Local Law # 7 of 2024
BE IT ENACTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LAKE GROVE
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 175-1(A) Definitions of the Lake Grove Village Code is hereby amended to add
the following definition for “Common Ownership”.
“Common Ownership: Shall mean for purposes of this Chapter the ownership of two or
more adjoining parcels of real property where there is an identify of (common) ownership,
including beneficial or nominee ownership, of at least fifty percent (50%) of the ownership of the
properties.”
Severability. In the event that any portion of this Local Law # 7 of 2024 should be determined to
be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions of this Local Law of 2024 shall remain in
full force and effect.

RUNNING THENCE South 06 degrees 89 minutes 30 seconds East by and along the easterly
side of Hawkins Avenue, the distance of 100 feet to a locust stake set for a bound and land
formerly of one Ecclesion;
THENCE South 83 degrees 53 minutes east by and with said land formerly of one Ecclesion, the

BEGINNING at a point on the easterly side of Hawkins Avenue, as widened, distant 81.35 feet
southerly from the extreme southerly end of an arc of a curve which connects the southerly side
of Washburn Avenue with the easterly side of Hawkins Avenue, as widened;
RUNNING THENCE South 83 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds East, 83.63 feet to land now or
formerly of Geraldine Denham;
THENCE South 6 degrees 08 minutes 45 seconds East along said land now or formerly of
Geraldine Denham, 102.33 feet to land now or formerly of United States Postal Service;
THENCE 83 degrees 53 minutes 30 seconds West, along said last mentioned land, 83.63 feet to

Severability
The provisions of this Local Law are declared to be severable, and if any section, sentence,
clause or phrase of this article shall for any reason be held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining sections, sentences, clauses and phrases of
this Local Law, but they shall remain in effect, it being the legislative intent that this Local Law
shall stand, notwithstanding the invalidity of any part.
