PUBLIC NOTICE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE  INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF LAKE GROVE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A LOCAL LAW OF 2025 AMENDING CHAPTER 168, VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC OF THE LAKE GROVE VILLAGE CODE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lake Grove will hold a public hearing at the Lake Grove Village Hall, 980 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove, New York at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2025 regarding a Local Law of 2025 Amending Chapter 168 Vehicles and Traffic of The Lake Grove Village Code.

The title of the Local Law is “Local Law of 2025,” a local law amending Chapter 168, Vehicles and Traffic, of the Lake Grove Village Code.

The purpose of the Local Law is to amend and modify the language in the noted Chapter of The Lake Grove Village Code and to make provisions with respect to parking regulations within the Village.

At said public hearing, all interested persons will be allowed to be heard.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lake Grove will hold a special meeting at 10:30 a.m. on June 30, 2025 at the  Lake Grove Village Hall, 980 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove, New York. The intended purpose of the special meeting is to schedule a hearing for a proposed Local Law of 2025 amending Chapter 159-17 Park/Recreation Areas and School Sites.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to provisions of Article IX, Section 175-62 of the Zoning Ordinance of the Incorporated Village of Lake Grove, a public hearing will be held at the Village Meeting Hall, 980 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove, New York on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. to consider the following applications:

Case #25-04 Dario Lobue residing at 18 Greenway Terrace, Lake Grove, New York 11755 requests a variance from Article III, Section 175-9 Building Area to construct an 18’ x 36’ inground swimming pool where the total building area shall not exceed 20% or 1,620 square feet of the total lot area and 23% or 1,838 square feet is proposed, requesting a 3% or 218 square foot building area variance. Case #25-05 Cheryl Dorio residing at 943 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove, New York 11755 requests variances from Article XV, Section 175-98 B Swimming Pool to construct an 8’ x 8’ spa addition to an existing swimming pool where not less than 10’ from any side or rear lot line is required and 3.7’ from the side lot line is proposed, requesting a 6.3’ Swimming Pool variance and Article III, Section 175-9 Building Area where the total building area shall not exceed 20% of the total lot area or 2,195 square feet and 22% of the total lot area or 2,351 square feet is proposed, requesting a 2% or 156 square feet building area variance and Section 175-14 Accessory Buildings and Structures to maintain an existing 6’ x 7’ shed where 5’ from any side or rear lot line is required and 2.5’ from the side property line and 2.7’ from the rear property line exists. Case #25-07 Nicholas Recchion, 1036 Middle Country Road, Selden, New York 11784 requests variances from Article III, Section 175-11 Front Yard to construct a 9.6’ x 10’ covered porch where the required front yard is 40 ‘ and 21’ is proposed, requesting a 19’ front yard variance, Section 175-13 Rear Yard to construct a 6’ x 10’ dining room addition where the required rear yard is 60’ and 28’ is proposed, requesting a 32’ rear yard variance and Section 175-14 Accessory Buildings and Structures to maintain an existing 7.1’ x 7.1’ shed where the required distance from the side and rear property line is 5’ and 3.2’ is proposed, requesting a 1.8’ variance. Legal Notice: Special Meeting

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lake Grove will hold a special meeting at 9:30 a.m. on June 11, 2025 at the  Lake Grove Village Hall, 980 Hawkins Avenue, Lake Grove, New York.

The intended purpose of the special meeting is to review and possibly take action on the submitted bids for the installation of brick piers and fencing for the property located at 7 Moriches Road, Lake Grove, New York including an awarding of the bid, and such other matters as may properly come before the Board of Trustees at that time.
